This Palo Alto tech company was looking for a workspace environment that promoted creative problem solving and collaboration but also afforded employees a certain amount of privacy. The company works hard at attracting young talent and keeping them happy, therefore, the workspace has to be inspiring as well as comfortable. Working with the international architecture firm, Gensler, MASHstudios developed a sinuous workstation configuration, a departure from the static, linear approach typically found in commercial office buildings. We introduced a bright, acoustic fabric to the tops of rolling filing cabinets and desktop dividers. Dry erase marker boards double as workstation walls and billboards where employees can sketch out ideas and the company can broadcast information. Wood desktops in a natural finish sit atop dark, solid steel legs.
