More than just a design initiative, MASHstudios designs have unparalleled longevity and substantially minimize the resources that would be invested to frequently replace them. The materials that go into every MASHstudios project are meticulously selected for their quality and positive environmental impact. Our decision making process offers the most flexibility when choosing green materials. Due to the custom nature of our designs and fabrication, MASHstudios is fully capable of contributing to the LEED® Certification of an overall project. All of the wood panels we use are CARB compliant, which is the world’s most stringent production standard for formaldehyde emissions. Even when a project isn’t specified as green, MASHstudios still recognizes its environmental responsibility, and uses recyclable materials wherever possible, while avoiding products with VOC-releasing finishes and formaldehyde glues. MASHstudios always takes the time to design from the beginning to minimize waste, and responsibly disposes of it when necessary. MASHstudios fabricates all of its designs locally. By reducing the shipping distance, local manufacturing reduces the carbon footprint of the product. |
